Meet The Author
Jessie Everts, Ph. D. LMFT
Jessie Everts, PhD LMFT (she/her) is a therapist, mom, yoga/mindfulness teacher, writer and consultant. She uses mindfulness practices along with cognitive and acceptance therapies to work with women and LGBTQ+ individuals who might be struggling with anxiety, parenting, postpartum mental health, work-life balance, trauma, and life transitions. Dr. Everts is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is passionate about bringing mental health knowledge and skills to people outside of the therapy office, and helping moms feel great about the amazing hard work they do. She lives in Minnesota with her spouse and two strong-willed children.

Brave New Mom is a mindfulness-based approach for supporting new moms that gives permission to see, feel, and celebrate your bravery and your amazing abilities, to take time to care for yourself, and to gather the support you need to feel the best you can about this awe-inspiring journey.
